Government to Government Relations
POA is a member of the Northwest New Mexico Council of Governments (NW NM COG) Northwest Regional Transportation Planning Organization (NW RTPO)
“Enhancing transportation in Northwest New Mexico that will provide multimodal transportation for local governments and residents integrating economic and social opportunities.”
NWRTPO Functions:
- To serve as a forum and to elicit informed recommendations for multimodal transportation and enhancement projects.
- To submit projects under certain funding categories to the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) after prioritization.
- To promote the implementation of an efficient transportation network in the three county region of Northwest New Mexico.
