REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS: Mesa Hill Bridge Data Recovery Plan Implementation Project

The Pueblo of Acoma (“Acoma,” “Pueblo” or “POA”) invites proposals for professional services to implement archaeological data recovery under the 2009 “Data Recovery Plan for LA 113480, Pueblo of Acoma, Cibola County, New Mexico” for the Mesa Hill Bridge and Road Extension Project. Firms with previous work experience and professional interest are invited to submit a proposal to provide the services to complete the scope of work. Funding for the project is from the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, Tribal Transportation Program, Bridge Program.

The Mesa Hill Rail Bridge and Road Extension Project is to construct a 1,160-foot (0.220 miles) span bridge over the BNSF Railway, Rio San Jose, Kinder Morgan and El Paso Natural Gas lines, traditional irrigation ditch systems and farming lands. The roadway construction project includes the extension of road SP 36 (Mesa Hill Road) to extend 314 feet (0.060 miles) north from SP 30 (Pueblo Road) to the south bridge abutment and continue to extend 1,126 feet (0.213 miles) from the north bridge abutment to road SP 34 (Fatima Hill Road). The Mesa Hill Rail Bridge and Road Extension Project will add 0.718 miles of roadway from SP 36 to SP 30 including a turning lane on SP 30. The project will connect directly to Interstate 40 at Exit 100.
